Our story.

November 2021 – We first started our work

Ramadhan 2022 – First Ramadhan retreat for girls

June 2022 – First Women’s health event

April 2023 – Became a UK Registered charity

Who are we?

The Amina Institute was established in November 2021 and registered as a UK charity (The Amina Trust) in April 2023. It provides resources, education, and mentoring to girls and women of all ages, in a safe environment.

The aim of the organisation is to help women and girls flourish and inspire them to adopt good character (akhlāq), lead a healthy lifestyle, uphold moral values, and nurture strong faith, and a positive attitude in their interactions with others.

Our Mentors

All our mentors are highly qualified in their respective subjects, ensuring the highest level of expertise. Our mentor structure is designed to encompass a wide range of ages and experiences, with mentors who are from within the community we serve.

All our mentors are DBS checked and we have FIRST AID qualified staff. We employ 6 paid staff members, and numerous volunteers from the community.
